About Gjensidige

Gjensidige Group is a company that holds a leading position in the Norwegian insurance market. ACB Gjensidige, a subsidiary of the Group, operates in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

History

Gjensidige started its activity in Norway some 200 years ago by establishing an insurance network against fire. Currently, the company Goup operates in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and the Baltic states. Gjensidige provides to its clients life and non-life insurance, as well as banking, pension accumulation, and other services. In Norway, Gjensidige holds one-third of the entire non-life insurance market.

Gjensidige’s logo – a night watchman – has over time become a symbol not only of Gjensidige, but a generic symbol of security in the Nordic countries. The night watchman logo is the most identifiable symbol in Norway.
